Episode 80: Rider Strong

This week, Nikki and Sara report from sunny LA where they've been busy killing on Conan, writing for the Creative Arts Emmys, and tackling their first red carpet.  Soon Rider Strong drops in and describes life in the 90s when you're deluged by fan mail.  You may know Rider best as Shawn Hunter from Boy Meets World, but nowadays he's a full-fledged DIY director and a successful one at that: he and his brother are currently developing the feature version of their TriBeCa Film Festival-featured short The Dungeon Master.  Rider explains how and why he worked to break out of an easy typecast rut and transition to a more creative and meaningful career.  The conversation later veers from favorite modern TV to kissing for an audience, but it all just works on this brisk and positive episode.

Episode 79: Joe DeRosa

This week, Sara justifies her pricy haircut and Nikki presents their guest, comedian Joe DeRosa (Comedy Central Presents, @joederosacomedy).  Joe's currently putting the finishing touches on his new webseries We Should Break Up, in which he and our very own Nikki Glaser star as a couple who by all accounts should call it quits.  But minutes into the conversation, a twist! -- Joe and Nikki actually dated IRL before tumultuously splitting some time before this calmer collaboration (set to debut in just a few weeks).  What results is not relationship rubbernecking but something much richer: a blunt, relatable rundown of the life cycle of a couple and the logistics of somehow remaining friends afterward.  Get ready, huge range of emotions on this one.

Hey! Also! Bonus!  Nikki was on CONAN!  Watch her set here.

Episode 78: Scott Moran

This week, Sara and Nikki waste no time on chitchat before introducing their storied Renaissance man of a guest: stand-up, visual artist, filmmaker, and boyfriend Scott Moran (@scottmoran9876).  With his already-acclaimed new webseries Modern Comedian, Scott documents the comedy scene by crafting elegant video profiles of other rising comics.  Scott recalls Sara's hilariously aloof introduction to his father and the couple outlines their official opinion of baby talk.  The trio touches on that unique disappointment of fulfilling a dream and finding its outcome underwhelming, and later offers some prescient advice about the Tonight Show's budget woes.  Things start wrapping up with Sara talking pee about web journalist Xeni Jardin and Nikki auditioning for an honorary spot in the Scott-Sara relationship.  Super casual, super funny episode.

Episode 77: Andy Haynes

This week, Nikki explains the virtual babies in her life and Sara gushes about her new writing job with a familiar award show.  The ladies welcome back comic Andy Haynes (Conan, Modern Comedian) to tackle the napping and nerves brought on by Sara's stress, Nikki's gig-on-a-boat, and Andy's most recent TV set.  Andy recounts a hilarious childhood peeing mishap, which leads to a discussion on the intricate etiquette of easing bodily functions into a relationship.  Finally, this loopy episode ends with Talking Pee, YHTBT's new life-affirming semi-regular segment to keep you in a positive mood until next week's installment.
