Episode 88: Eric Hutchinson

This week, Sara and Nikki rehash their Thanksgivings and gush about their new staff at MTV, especially the inspired hiring of Brian McCann as head writer.  The ladies discuss celebrity deaths and how to live forever through the magic of sampling before greeting musician Eric Hutchinson on a lighter note.  Their chat then swerves from sitcoms like Liz & Dick to singalongs like the R.E.M. catalog, from a shout-out to a sweet sleep app to advice on surviving stalkers.  Eventually Eric rolls far enough away from the boardroom table to play his misleading hit "Watching You Watch Him" and a cover of a Police classic.  Kick back and enjoy YHTBT's return to the music world.

Episode 87: Molly Tarlov

This week, Sara and Nikki explain how a single sexy scene from American Horror Story can undo a decade of Adam Levine apathy.  Once they've collected themselves, the ladies welcome their guest actress Molly Tarlov to the podcast meeting room.  Molly, who plays Sadie on Awkward, tells her showbiz origin story and leads the discussion from the lows of Twitter trolls to the highs of a JoJo singalong.  The trio winds down by talking some pee about Etsy, former guest Carmen Lynch, and a tale about a trip to the thee-ay-ter that manages to include a Homeland spoiler (you've been warned).  Give thanks for this fun, "flirty" episode.

Episode 86: Janeane Garofalo

This week, You Had To Be There's back and broadcasting from an exotic new locale: the snazziest conference room in a certain shiny Manhattan office.  As their audience sips coffee in swivel chairs, Sara and Nikki detail their move from the basement to the boardroom and share the self-image stresses of a recent photo shoot.  Soon the legendary and hilarious Janeane Garofalo swoops into the conversation to save the ladies' lives (prescription: less likes, in speech and on Facebook).  Janeane describes her days here in New York, from her subway altruism to her favorite chocolatier, and explains how she lives with little anxiety despite her troubling Waterworld premonitions.  Get back in the YHTBT habit with this enlightening episode.
